The result is a visual masterpiece, achieved through the highest levels of Shishiai Maki-e Art techniques. Maki-e Art involves the use of Urushi lacquer, which is derived from the sap of the Urushi tree native to Japan, and is combined with gold powder and other precious metals and powders.
