After a great experience with a pen from my collection that Anabelle Hiller turned from a horrible to a great writer I now ordered a Tibaldi No. 60 and had the BB nib ground to a cursive italic. Once again Anabelle Hiller did a fantastic job. The cursive italic is smooth enough to be used as a daily writer but still has wonderful line variation. And the ink flow is perfect. Thanks again for this great experience.
Ik had elders een Lindauer pen gekocht met een 1.1 stub nib maar deze schreef erg droog, niet soepel en kraste in het papier. Helemaal niet wat ik verwacht had. Ik had de nibmeister gevraagd om de penpunt te tunen tot een soepel en zacht schrijvende pen met een goede flow en dat is gelukt !
Heel blij met het resultaat en binnenkort maar weer een andere pen insturen...
I am deeply satisfied with the work Anabelle did on my Pilot 823. I had a cursive italic done on an M nib and it is smooth, wet, and has lovely line variation. Thank you!
I requested a custom cursive italic grind on the Opus 88 Koloro with medium steel nib. The customisation was done by Ms Annabel Hillier. When I received this pen, I was extremely please to find the nib customization was perfect! A really nice balance between natural line variation and ease of use. I write for ages and it is not catchy even on poorer quality paper. I can now appreciate why Ms Hillier is so popular as a nib specialist and I cannot recommend her enough. Since then, I have asked her to customise gold nibs from my Pelikan M1000, M600, M805 and they area superb too!
My Pilot Custom and Pelikan m400 got a new life with the nib grind: cursive italics. A very distinct character to my writing but still easy to use. Thanks
What can I say?
After being very happy with my customized nibs from Anabelle, I took the decisions to drive the 400 kilometers to Laren, AGAIN! This time I brought some of my remaining pens, such as a Montblanc Skeleton and some Patron of Arts. It was again a very enjoyable day and eventhough I was back home very late, I had to try all of the pens at once.
The results were as always: Perfect!
This is the consequence when passion meets superior skills and dedication.

The Cursive Italic grind is spot on. With this grind the words flow with its own unique character. Great work by Anabelle Hiller! I appreciate this service as it saves the customer time to send the pen for a nib grind. May I suggest that another option to have is a Goccia-type grind or the Naginata-togi grind.
my first time trying an appelboom ground nib and was very impressed - the medium stub was perfect for a Parker Duofold. Had to admire the artistry of the grind that produced good line variation with smooth writing. Even the reverse of the nib felt modified writing like a juicy round medium. well worth the price.
I ordered a Leonardo pen in Broad and wanted a stub that matches a vintage Montblanc pen I love. Although it took some time, the end result is worth the wait. It would not be possible to replicate the feel, but the desired outcome on paper is what I expected.
