I selected a medium nib. It writes like I am gliding on glass. It was tuned with an expert hand. The nib is wet and smooth with the typical slight feedback. Pelikan = Quality
This is my second Pelikan M800. If you are used to Fine/Medium nibs from other manafacturers I would recommend purchasing this with the 'EF' tip. The pen writes smoothly and when coupled with the Topaz Edelstein ink its a complete package.
It's one beautiful pen. I ordered the M800 black and blue with broad nib. The piston filler operates well. It writes beautifully possibly because I asked for the "Nib Customization". The broad nib is a little too broad and on cheap paper leaves too much ink. Overall a great pen.
The Pelikan M800 is Fantastic! It's even better than what I could expect. I ordered the EF nib because my handwriting is rather small. I love it! Writing is smooth and not tiring. Also, the blue version is stunning !
I am glad I found the Appelboom online store. I visited the website after watching their very good videos on YouTube.
First, they are authorized dealers of the brands they carry. It’s very important when buying luxury products.
Second, I really appreciated to be able to ask questions and get a response very fast from a real person who was knowledgeable and wanted to help.
Joost Appelboom made the experience simple and helped me purchase with confidence. I sincerely thank him for all his help. This M800 was the first pen I purchased here, and it is not the last one !
The M800 is my second pen from Pelikan. My first was an M600 in Vibrant Orange. When I first got that M600, it really felt like I joined some elite club. It was a quality hardly familiar to me at the time. I was quite surprised to get the same feeling when I first opened up my new M800. It felt like I was in a new club again as the M800 took what I liked about the M600 and made it bigger and grander. The heft suits me a bit better and the nib, even though I have both in Fine, feels even smoother compared to its smaller colleague. All in all, I highly recommend this pen. A bit expensive when you consider the total package (including the box and faux-leather case), but still and excellent purchase.
Originally ordered in a fine nib, but due to delays from Pelikan, revised my order and accepted a medium nib. Very glad I did that; the medium nib is excellent and flows on good quality paper with a wonderful smoothness. There is no hesitations, skipping or scratchiness with this pen and the size is perfect, posted or unposted. The classic design is much to be desired. Very satisfied with this acquisition. This is my third Pelikan pen from Appelboom and the service is fantastic.
I wanted this pen for a long time. I found the best price on Appleboom. The service was great and the delivery was fast. I love the pen. It’s very large and has a beautiful wet broad nib. Thank you Appleboom!
This is my first Pelikan fountain pen and first purchase from Appelboom. Joost is helpful and always respond my email in a short time. After reviewing related youtube video and Joost's advice, I choose M800 Black/Blue with a F nib.
It is a wonderful pen with smooth and wet writing experience. The F nib is a real Euro Fine nib pen, similar to a Jap M nib.
Delivery is quite fast in 4 days. I have placed another order of a Montblanc pen because of a competitive price from Appelboom.
