This is my third nib customization work from Annabelle. As with the previous 2 times, the work was grind and tuned exactly as I would have hoped for, Truly grateful for her mastery!
Annabelle does the magic when to Nibs. My nib touched the ground, and with a little Dutch fairydust from Annabelle and Joost my pen is ready to write again !!!
While looking for a nibmeister to entrust with grinding my beloved 1998 Montblanc Writers Edition Edgar Allan Poe from a B to an EF nib, I stumbled across the offering from Appelboom here. After seeing a very positive feedback for the work done by Anabelle Hiller, I decided to give it a try - and it will definitely not be the last time I make us of this service! Everything from the organisation to the final product is amazing. The nib is as ordered (I put a writing sample for what I’m looking for into the parcel) and writes with the loveliest bit of feedback for what is now somewhere between a German and a Japanese style EF, just the right amount. Vielen Dank!
Had a nib that was bent totally out of shape, and was recommended this. Very happy that this service exists, and impressed by the result - pen and nib is good as new. Only reason for not giving full stars is cost - I had to pay customs and duties both ways from Norway (non-EU).
I have around 20 fountain pens in my collection of difference price ranges. Last three pens that I've bought had their nibs customized and they turned out to be so great that I don't plan on ever buying a pen without customizing it's nib. I chose the option of smoothen and align and I would recommend it to everyone. Actually I would advise everyone to restrain themselves from buying a pen which nib can't be customized because pens, most of them according to my knowledge and experience, are massively produced which is why they can't, or won't, pay much attention to how the ,,most important" part of the fountain pen actually works.
Do yourself a favor and please have your nib customized. Best regards from Montenegro.
I had the M nib on a new edc pen ground to a stub. And what was a pen that would already have made me happy to start with just moved to the one that I’ll always choose. Perfect. Thank you,
..
