Almost all of my pens in my collection are checked and adjusted by Anabelle. I can highly recommend this service. Anabelle is able to adjust a nib to obtain the perfect writing experience. As always the communication with Joost and his team is very nice.
Joost was very clear in communicating the time frames and although there was a delay in shipping and work time, I was happy with the end result. The ink is now flowing much better and the nib is smoother. I would recommend Appelbaum for all nib customisation. Well done!!!
I have sent my Diplomat Excellence skyline blue back to Appelboom in the Netherlands. The pen has fallen and the nib did not write anymore. I've sent a photo of the nib and Appelboom told me that the nib could be repaired. The repair was done perfectly and the nib again writes very smooth and pleasant.
A great service from Appelboom and many thanks to Joost and Annabelle Hiller, the nib specialist!
I had many nibs ground by Anabelle and I can confirm her work is excellent. Only one thing bothered me. I bought the pen during the month of December and the wait for it was considerable: over one month. Except for this little issue that could have been handled with better communication, the workmanship is exquisite.
For all those pens that lived in your drawers, sad, dried and unused due to nib problem.. there is hope.. Appelboom nib customization. They did an extremly well done job on a vintage very sensible pen of mine. I recommend them without hesitation.
Whenever possible I use the offered "align/tune and smoothen" option for new pens and the result is always very satisfying. All of the customised nibs write perfectly and are part of my most preferred pens. I can really recommend this service!
I asked Anabell to grind a factory medium nib, produced inhouse by a prestegious manufacturer. The pen suffered of baby’s bottom and wrote more like a broad than a medium. I prefere extra fine nibs and Anabell did a great job. I am very pleased with her work: a crisp, fine, smooth line. Thank you!

My Pilot Custom 823 worked alright before I sent it off to Appelboom, but after having the ink flow increased, I am looking forward to any chance I get to write with it.
