I got this pen for a customized OBB nib. I had been looking at a MB146 with same nib but honestly this pen is a so much better option. Comfortable size for my hand, high quality nib, dependable German build, better price, easier to obtain the nib I wanted. Very happy with purchase and customization as well as super fast delivery.
I gave the pen to myself as a christmas gift, At least thats how I excused the overwhelming expense to myself. Now I've been using the pen daily for over two months and furtunatelly, I can report, there's nothing I would regret about the purchase. The pen writes like a charm - it is comfortable to hold, absolutely reliable, and the nib feels almost "telepatic". As unbelievable as it may sound, the experience was really worth the price!
As per usual a fast and efficient service with good communication from Appelboom! My requests received a response promptly each time I reach out.
The pen is even nicer in person and the nib is one of the best writing experiences you can buy. I am delighted of the writing and surprised how much I like and use the pen. The piston filler is exceptional and the pen construction feels solid as you would think when you hear "German Engineering".
It has size and balance to fit hands of normal size
If you need or simply want a good writing instrument, this is a good one.
Weer eens erg tevreden!
I am very glad I made this purchase. The pen is even more beautiful in person. The size is just right for me. I feel smart having the nib tuned and smoothed by Appelboom’s nib specialist. The pen wrote perfectly right out of the box. It is an extremely smooth writer, which I like. As mentioned by others, the fine nib writes more like a medium, which is exactly what I wanted and expected.. I couldn’t be happier with Appelboom’s price and service. Thank you, Joost, for your help and attention.
This is the pen i would choose if I am allowed to keep just one pen !

Pelikan M800 is as close to perfection a pen can get. Size, weight, balance is just perfect. The nib looks resplendent. Piston is very smooth. Appelboom offered it great price too.
